AFEAS
The Alternative Fluorocarbons Environmental Acceptability Study, provided by 11 chemical companies concludes that the ozone depletion potentials (ODPs) and global warming potentials (GWPs) of HCFCs and HFCs are much smaller than those for the CFCs. Very useful are the annual AFEAS production, sales, and emissions data for 10 cfcs, hcfcs and the hfc 134a, available for download.

Die Kälte + Klimatechnik
No other occupational group has been confronted more intensively since the middle of the eighties with ozone depletion and greenhouse effect then the refrigeration plant assemblers.
This is because of the refrigerants. First the cfc refrigerants were banned step by step, then the chlorine free substitutes were critisized and controlled, too, because of their climate impact.
The debate about the suitable refrigerants has been reflected since many years in this journal. .
